James Chadwin QC, who died in his sleep yesterday aged 74, defended Peter Sutcliffe at the Old Bailey when the prosecution accepted a plea of manslaughter but the judge, Mr Justice Boreham, would not have it and Sutcliffe was tried for murder.See the full content of this document
