CAMPAIGNERS in the fight to rescind a punitive retrospective tax, which could see at least one Teesport firm move its business overseas, have claimed a partial victory.

Members of the House of Lords forced an amendment to the Business Rates Supplements Bill last week, which, they claim, will make it harder for the government to justify chasing port-based firms for millions of pounds in backdated charges.
