QI HAVE recently started to use a star chart to help improve my three-year-old's behaviour. She is very hot tempered and always wants her own way. We have been using it for five weeks now but she seems utterly bored with it. What else can I use as a reward system for when she does behave nicely? AALL children respond to positive praise and recognition and it is a powerful tool to help with particular aspects of behaviour for example, learning to tidy up, getting dressed, potty training, meal times etc.
Praising your child at the time of the action is the most effective way to reward good behaviour and this should be reward enough.See the full content of this document
