WHILE I agree with the sentiments of C Walker's letter Anger Over Bus Changes (16.06.09), I think she will find Arriva buses are subsidised by the local authority between 8am and 6pm. This is why they run so few services outside this core time.

Now in Guisborough we have five buses an hour going up Stokesley Road to Middlesbrough bus station, but not one going up Hutton Lane to James Cook University Hospital.
