A FIRM crowned one of the best in the North-east for the way in which it trains its staff has pledged to press ahead with an innovative workforce development programme. Kerry Sweet Ingredients (KSI), based at the Aycliffe Industrial Park in County Durham, was a winner at the Learning and Skills Council's recent showpiece awards ceremony.
The company, which was named small employer of the year at the Celebration of Learning and Skills (Colas) Awards, has been working closely with Darlington College's Business First team to boost the capabilities of its workforce ever since last year. KSI secured the coveted accolade after enrolling two-thirds of its employees on a Train to Gain NVQ Level 2 course in Food Manufacturing at the college.See the full content of this document
