A GRAN who was killed in a two-vehicle road accident in Billingham has been named as Mavis Jamieson.
Mrs Jamieson, 67, from Ayresome, in Middlesbrough, was the passenger in a red Nissan Micra when it collided with an Audi Q7 on Cowpen Lane, in Billingham, on Friday. Mrs Jamieson, a widow, was a mother of three and had four grandchildren. The family said they were "absolutely devastated". The accident happened at 5.20pm near to the Cowpen Lane Industrial Estate. Fire crews had to remove the roof and doors of the Micra to free Mrs Jamieson. She was taken to James Cook University Hospital but died just before 3am on Saturday.See the full content of this document
