SIMON Bailes Peugeot, which has a dealership in Stockton is one of the sponsors of this year's Ridewell event at Preston Park, Eaglescliffe. The company provided two Peugeot 308s for Cleveland Police Road Policing Unit to pre-promote the event. Large crowds are expected to attend Ridewell on Sunday. It has grown to be one of the North's largest bike shows and is ultimately aimed at reducing road casualties. The brainchild of Cleveland Police's Road Policing Unit in partnership with Stockton Council, the family fun-day aims to raise awareness about road safety and to reduce the number of accidents involving motorcyclists. Exhibitors from motorcycle and pedal cycle companies from all over the UK are taking part.

This year's attractions include stunt motorcycle and pedal cycle displays by some of the UK's leading names and two of the country's most successful superbike race teams will be taking part in Ridewell. Rob McElnea is bringing his Rob Mac Racing Team along with some of the bikes competing in this year's British Superbike Championship. The Hydrex Honda British Superbike Team is also attending with their factory-supported Honda Fireblade. The Hydrex team are locally based with Shaun Muir Racing in Middlesbrough, while centre stage will be Guisborough Motor Club which is hosting the Ridewell Trials competition with riders from across the North competing for the trophy. Simon Bailes Peugeot will have a stand on the day displaying its range, including the new Peugeot 3008 which isn't launched to the public until autumn.
