AN 81-YEAR-OLD man was taken to hospital by air ambulance after collapsing at Roseberry Topping. Great Ayton-based members of the Cleveland Search and Rescue team were called at about 12.15pm yesterday to help stretcher the man, who collapsed due to the heat, from a path on the south side of the landmark to a waiting air ambulance.

He was taken to James Cook University Hospital but was said to be "fine" today.
