BIKERS' TOY STORY: A toy run in November 1983 by 30 Cleveland members of the Motorcycle Action Group was met by the beaming smiles of youngsters staying in the Fairbrook Children's Unit in Durham Road, Stockton. The group's regional representative Norman Hartley said that the toy run was an annual event and was aimed at giving the children a good time. The group also took the opportunity to protest against recently introduced legislation regarding provisional licences which meant riders lost their licence for a year if they failed to pass the test within two years.
