The 91-year-old mother of a woman who died before she received official recognition for her charity work will accept the honour on her daughter's behalf.

Glenis Guy MBE, founder and chairwoman of the Edward Guy Foundation for Hospice Care, which won the group title in the Evening Gazette Community Champions Award in 2003, died at her Normanby home in February after a short illness.
