A CAT has almost certainly used up all of its nine lives after it was shot 50 times with an airgun - and survived! Two-year-old Rosie is lucky to be alive after she was cruelly targeted by yobs who showered the defenceless pet with pellets thought to be from an air rifle.

Owner Tracy Homan, from Belmongate, in Guisborough, found her pet crying in agony and says she has been left shocked and angry by the attack.
