QMY five-year-old son will not settle at bedtime. As soon as it is time for bed he gets hyper, running around the house, messing around, playing with his toys etc. He never stays in his room when put to bed and can only get to sleep by dropping off in front of the TV. How can I get him to go to bed when he is told? AMOST children go through a phase of "playing up" before bedtime.
In a situation like this, the first question I would ask is, Do you have a set routine and wind-down period?
