A CIVILIAN security officer fleeced the Ministry of Defence out of more than pounds 11,000 to feed his grief-induced gambling habit.
Stephen Arthur Cox, 40, claimed for 960 hours' overtime he hadn't worked, illegally inflating his wage by a total of pounds 11,337, a court heard. His deception was uncovered in an audit of security guards at the 90 Signal Regiment in Brambles Farm, Middlesbrough, to which Cox was attached at the time.See the full content of this document
