TWO Teesside firms have moved up the Sunday Times HSBC Top Track 250 list of companies.
Middlesbrough's Cleveland Cable Company was listed 157th in the table, jumping 51 places from 208th last year. The electrical cable distributor, owned by brothers Alastair and Michael Powell, recorded sales of pounds 217m and an operating profit of pounds 26.1m in the year to April 2008. Meanwhile specialist transport services provider Bulkhaul, which serves the petrochemical industry, rose from 195th last year to 182nd in the list. The Middlesbrough-based firm saw annual revenues in the year to December 2007 rise 1.3% to pounds 198.8m, while operating profit was pounds 22.1m.See the full content of this document
