GREAT news concerning a possible Metro network for Teesside (We're On Track, News, 23.07.09).
Plans for a new station at James Cook University Hospital are to be welcomed, but why not construct one at the Riverside Stadium to be used only on match days? The Darlington to Saltburn track passes within 50 yards of the stadium. A new station next to the stadium would remove a lot of local match day traffic and congestion and away team supporters could arrive by train rather than in a convoy of coaches.
