A VIETNAMESE illegal immigrant who stayed in a house later revealed to contain a huge 35kg cannabis factory has been cleared by a jury.
It took less than an hour for jurors to acquit Ngoc Cao of being involved in the production of cannabis, a charge he always denied. He thanked the court through a Vietnamese interpreter after the unanimous verdict. He was released despite his status in the UK after the court had no power to hold him.
