Summary
I SUPPORT the comments by I Singer (Whine And Wine, 15.11.10) about the public authority "management" of this area. There is much talk of working together to project the area as a whole but we won't get progress while each council maintains its own little empire.
They cannot even agree what the area is called or the route of a road. Why do we need four councils to run what is quite a small area? We have one Cleveland Chief of Police and one Cleveland Chief Fire Officer, both of whom seem to cope with the requirements of the whole area, so why do we need four chief executives officers and duplication of other posts associated with them.See the full content of this document
