THE sword of sacrifice in Linthorpe cemetery bears no poppy wreaths and I was saddened to see such neglect. Walking on, I caught a glimpse of red on a Canadian serviceman's grave and saw it was a little wooden cross with the poppy of the British Legion.
Going round all the other war graves, I found each had been honoured in this way.See the full content of this document
