Summary
Not too long ago, I had a letter published suggesting that it was time capital punishment was returned for certain crimes. As expected, this was swiftly followed by letters from people who agreed and disagreed. The example I quoted was Ian Huntley who murdered the two little girls in Soham.
Huntley recently attempted suicide. He is now on a 24-hour suicide watch at a cost to us taxpayers of over pounds 1,700 a day. Sooner or later, he will attempt it again and probably succeed. Either that or an inmate will do the job for him. It would have been far more humane and just if he had been swiftly hanged.See the full content of this document
