Summary
IN my D-Day letter (Air Strikes Pave The Way For Victory, 06.06.09) in which I mention the three-month "carpet bombing" (quoted by A Harris) of North-west Europe, it was remiss of me not to have mentioned the American Fortress.
The USAAF were much praised by allied leaders and, of course, Air Chief Marshal Harris who referred to all allied air crews as being "extremely brave".See the full content of this document
