Brian, who now lives at Edgbaston, Birmingham, says Ken, who died last year, worked for ICI at Billingham and Wilton from 1943 until his retirement in 1975. Doreen, who died in 1997, is still well remembered on Teesside as the author of Strike a Light, a book about John Walker, the inventor of the friction match.See the full content of this document
