PLANS to phase out the Anti-social behaviour order have been announced as new figures show that two out of every three orders on Teesside have been breached.

Home Secretary Theresa May said she wants officers to be able to use their "common sense" to deal with anti-social behaviour, with punishments being "rehabilitative and restorative" rather than "criminalising". Asbos have been widely used across Teesside, with new figures revealing more than 300 have been issued locally since their introduction.
