TWO company directors of a defunct Middlesbrough college played a major part in a pounds 16m fraud affecting tens of thousands of students, Teesside Crown Court heard.

The prosecution say Peter Kenyon and John Hornsby were central, hands-on players and "knew precisely what was going on" in a nationwide home-study swindle.
