THE man at the centre of the "dirty data" row involving Tees Valley construction firms is due to go on trial today.

Consultant Ian Kerr is being investigated by the Information Commissioner over claims that he created an industry blacklist containing details of thousands of construction workers, which he then used to sell information to companies who allegedly wanted to screen workers for, among other things, membership of trades unions.
