Charles Mann, a former Mayor of Scarborough who represented the Staithes and Hinderwell area on Scarborough Council for many years has died at the age of 86.

He had been a member of the former Whitby Rural District Council for several years before joining the borough council and served the Mulgrave ward for more than 30 years.
