DEON Kruis ended a run of indifferent form to capture his best Yorkshire figures in the County Championship Division One relegation battle with bottom club Surrey at Headingley.

Surrey, who batted first having won the toss after the morning session had been wiped out by bad weather, were dismissed for 204 and they only secured a batting point through some robust hitting by the last-wicket pair of Saqlain Mushtaq and Pedro Collins, who added 37 together.
