The biker who died after a crash on a busy North Yorkshire road has been named by police.

Paul Cornforth, 25, of Thornbury Rise, Darlington, was riding his blue Suzuki machine when it was in a smash with a blue Suzuki car on the A167 Darlington to Northallerton road on Tuesday. He had been travelling towards Northallerton with another motorcyclist on a red Kawasaki when the crash happened near Dalton-on-Tees at about 12.15pm. Anyone who witnessed the accident or saw any of the vehicles should contact PC Martin Usher at Richmond police on 0845 6060247.
