LORNA Holtom and Gemma Thompson were both referred to the Connect 2 Work programme through Tees Valley Works Going Forward Project. Connect 2 Work is designed to support young people between the ages of 16 to 24, who are unemployed, with assistance in finding the correct training, education, and employment to develop their careers.
Connect 2 Work sourced a placement with local company Energy Direct, for Lorna and Gemma, who had both expressed an interest in pursuing a career in business administration. Based at the Innovation Centre in Hartlepool, the girls were taken on a placement basis to offer administration/customer service support to the company.See the full content of this document
