Owing to demands on space we have edited her article which is in the current issue of the Cleveland Family History Society booklet.

She writes:

THIS biography highlights the intertwined lives of two brothers but begins long before the births of the main characters as the courses our ancestors' lives took often determined the paths of those that followed.

I have, so far, managed to follow this ancestral trail back to Illogan, Wendron and Redruth in Cornwall when mining for copper and tin was a primary source of employment.
