ENORMOUS underground Teesside caverns, hollowed out by decades of mining, could soon become giant dumps for hazardous waste, it was reported.
American company Coastal Caverns Inc wanted to use 15 brine caverns, all over 1,000ft under land between Billingham and Hartlepool, to store "locally generated hazardous waste".See the full content of this document
