With regard to Linthorpe Festival, I would like to add the following information to that of other Linthorpe Community Council Volunteers recently (Your Say, 24.6.06).

Thanks to the generosity of local people, who came along and joined in the fun thereby making the first ever Linthorpe Festival on June 17 such a success, the Community Council will be able to donate to our local charities: Teesside Hospice and PDSA pounds 65 each. This would not have been possible without the kindness of our local shopkeepers and businesses throughout Linthorpe ward who supplied the lovely prizes. A big thank you to all of them and to Dorman Long's Social Club for providing us with such a wonderful venue.
